Linda & Lisa shared their gorgeous wedding day with us back in 2019 where they told us about the beginning of their journey as good friends in 2007 to their big day set in the beautiful Horetown House in County Wexford.

We wanted to share their beautiful story again to inspire any couples who are planning their weddings.

We have known each other for many years as we shared the same group of friends. We went travelling to South East Asia and Australia in 2007 together and during this time, we became really close and that was the start of our romantic relationship, so I guess you can say we both married our best friend. So cliché, I know! We had many ups and downs in between like most couples, but we got through them and we grew stronger together.

We had a mutual proposal in San Francisco in April 2018. It was a beautiful evening with the sun set and the golden gate bridge in the background. Stunning! I chose the Sparkle in the Wild Two Carat Grey Diamond Twig Ring as my engagement ring and the Solid Gold Hawthorn Twig Infinity Ring with Classic Diamonds as my wedding band to compliment it.

These Chupi pieces are very special to me because of the Chupi concept, how Chupi came up with the designs and the fact they are Irish. My engagement ring is unique, the grey diamond is very unusual as every stone is individual and the texture of the gold twig suits my style.

We hired a complete venue for our wedding day, Horetown House. We opened our dream venue to our guests so they could enjoy the stunning manor house, the gardens, the dining room, the snug bar and the unique marque. Some of our closest friends and family got to stay at the venue and enjoy the luxury bedrooms and tasty breakfast the next morning! The overall hospitality and personal touches from all the staff at Horetown House was incredible we couldn’t recommend this venue enough.

It is a day we will never forget or couldn’t repeat. We smiled from start to finish.

As our wedding was at the late start of 4pm, this gave us plenty of time to start the day by having a nice breakfast with family and friends. We spent some time in the gym working out the last minute nerves and also had plenty of time to chill with a glass of prosecco while getting our glam on in hair and make-up. The rest of the day felt just magical it was exactly like we had imagined plenty of fun, food, drinks, dance and laughter. We both smiled from start to finish.

My dress was the Alena Leena Bridge “Cherry” gown bought from Alicemay Bridal. I had researched and new the style before I went shopping but Emma in Alice May helped me choose my dream dress. I loved the tone of my dress, it complimented my skin and hair so that made me choose it. Lisa found her dream dress online from Hope and Ivy. She knew her style and what would compliment her figure.

The memory that sticks out the most to us is sharing our special day with the people who mean the most to us. It is a day we will never forget or couldn’t repeat. We smiled from start to finish. We both focused on each other during the ceremony and only after we said our vows and faced all our family and friends did we absorb the atmosphere which was electric in the room. Everyone was beaming, expressing their joy and love for us during our special day and this was the best feeling in the world!

There was a lot of effort and planning put into the day and we hope that our guests remember our wedding as a unique venue with a unique couple the ambiance of the day was magical.

I visited the store a number of times between the engagement ring and the wedding band. When choosing the rings, the girls in store were always helpful and I really enjoyed the process. I can honestly say I made the right decisions I love my rings and I always receive beautiful comments. The wedding band compliments my engagement ring and doesn’t take over from the classic grey diamond.
